Population Health

The Center for Health Care Research & Policy’s Population Health division produces quantitative and actionable knowledge to understand complex clinical, environmental, social and behavioral factors that drive population health and the effectiveness of care delivery. The Center takes a broad view of population health science, and fosters multi-disciplinary collaborative efforts to discover, understand and apply knowledge. Critical work in this regard includes attention to issues of health equity, and reducing health disparities through research on root causes, mechanisms and interventions. All CHRP faculty and staff feel some connection to population health science, and related ideas like population health management, population medicine, public health and community health. In addition to viewing Northeast Ohio as a learning laboratory for research and training, we are deeply concerned with improving the quality of health and health care in the area.
