The Federal Statistical Research Data Center (FSRDC) for Healthcare Researchers
October 6, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Dr. Pinheiro will discuss how healthcare researchers can benefit from having access to a Federal Statistical Research Data Center (FSRDC). He will present a brief overview of the data available at the FSRDC, emphasizing the distinctions between the restricted data at the FSRDC and the publicly available counterparts. Moreover, he will quickly describe the application process to be granted access to the data. Finally, he will briefly present a paper in health economics (“Health Insurance as a productive factor” by Allan Dizioli and Roberto Pinheiro) that uses publicly available data and discuss how it would benefit from having access to the FSRDC’s restricted data.
Listed below are links to the paper mentioned in the overview, as well as a detailed list of the healthcare databases available at the FSRDC.
