In the March 20th Cleveland Plain Dealer, Center Director Randy Cebul highlighted the potential of electronic health records (EHR) both for improving care and reducing health care costs, using the regionÕs experience that compares results from EHR and paper-based medical records systems in Better Health Greater Cleveland. Reported on the anniversary of the passage of the landmark national health care reform legislation, Dr. Cebul said that EHRs – if used meaningfully – can help make Greater Cleveland a healthier place to live and a better place to do business, and that this is what the law was intended to accomplish.
