Better Health Greater Cleveland was pleased to present the first in a series of lectures of particular interest to primary care physicians. Richard J. Baron, MD, FACP, spoke at MetroHealth`s Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on Patient-Centered Primary Care: Trends, Needs and Opportunities. Dr. Baron, of Greenhouse Internists P.C. in Philadelphia, and immediate past President of the American Board of Internal Medicine, transformed his four-physician primary care practice into a patient-centered medical home, which became one of the first to receive Level 3 NCQA accreditation. He is a pioneer in the use of electronic health records in small practices and founder and CEO of Philadelphia e-Quality, a non-profit company trying to accelerate EHR adoption in small practices.
